Faith and conscience call us to speak out against Florida’s 287(g) agreements, which expand local law enforcement’s role in federal immigration enforcement and risk creating fear, eroding community trust, and discouraging immigrants from seeking help. Across Florida, residents, faith leaders, and advocates are using their voices at city halls and county commissions to oppose these agreements and defend the dignity of their neighbors. Regardless of our faith or beliefs, we share a responsibility to stand against policies that harm our communities.
Democracy requires more than casting a ballot; it requires showing up, speaking out, and demanding justice. We urge local leaders to reject 287(g) agreements and call on communities across Florida to stand together: Speak up. Speak out. End 287(g).
