The Florida Interfaith Coalition is Florida clergy and people of conscience who believe in the dignity and humanity of all.
As clergy and people of conscience, we are building interfaith, diverse, and robust communities across our state to educate and empower all Floridians about the human rights violations and the immigration crisis happening in our state.
As clergy, we are asking for permission to provide spiritual care to people detained at detention facilities across the state of Florida and within our county jails.
Our request is nonpartisan, rooted in our sacred vows, and focused solely on those detainees' dignity and spiritual rights.
Regardless of population numbers, our commitment remains: if people are being held, they deserve access to pastoral care.
Since August 2025, every Sunday around the state of Florida, faith leaders and people of conscious have gathered in solidarity with immigrant families and demand an end to the detention and deportation of our nonviolent, law-abiding immigrant community neighbors, siblings, and friends.
These vigils shine a light on the erosion of due process and the rise of authoritarian overreach. We pray for family reunification and justice for all immigrants. Together, we affirm that justice, compassion, and the rule of law must apply to everyone—regardless of immigration status.
