To mobilize people of faith and conscience to safeguard individual rights, champion justice, and build a more just and democratic Florida for all Floridians.
A Florida where every person can live with dignity and freedom, every family can thrive, and people of diverse faiths and beliefs come together for justice and democracy.
ORIGIN
------------
Beginning in August 2025, faith leaders and people of conscience across Florida began gathering each Sunday in solidarity with immigrant families, calling for an end to detention without due process.
These vigils, organized by the Florida Interfaith Coalition, became catalysts for interfaith advocacy and democracy protection, bringing communities together to stand for due process, family reunification, justice, compassion, and the equal application of the rule of law. As this movement grew, the Florida Interfaith Coalition evolved into the more formalized Interfaith Alliance of Florida, expanding its commitment to advocacy, solidarity, and collective action.
Rooted in an intersectional understanding of justice, the Interfaith Alliance of Florida recognizes that the struggles for immigrant rights, human dignity, democracy, and the protection of our communities are deeply connected. We continue to build on the foundation created by those early vigils through advocacy, education, solidarity, and collective action.
Rooted in an intersectional understanding of justice, IAFL brings people together to uplift and protect the human dignity of all through advocacy, education, solidarity, and collective action.
